I had lunch at Ikea over the weekend, and am curious - what is the yellow vegetable I ate?

Honestly, I have no idea. It looks like a carrot, but it's yellow. I'm completely stumped. Any thoughts?

Ha, the yellow vegetables. Most likely it is parsnips. I know it well. It is one of my favorites. Slightly sweet, it is a creamy color in its uncooked state and looks much like a winter carrot. That looks like a delicious lunch by the way. In which country is this IKEA you visited?

It was a delicious lunch! Herb poached salmon (without the lemon-butter sauce), mixed vegetables and potatoes. They make a good lunch at the IKEA in Schaumburg, IL (close to Chicago).

You know, I bet it was parsnips! Phew! Thanks for helping me out with that!
