Who is your favorite Muppet? Why?

Wow, this is a tough one. A real tough one. Because I have a soft place in my heart for all of my muppets.
But really, it's two that stand out to me - the lovable Grover, first of all, because he always tried so damn hard and always ended up making a mess. Before Elmo, before Telly, and the rest of them, there was Grover.
And yes, I do remember the Grover and Jon Jon sketch from when I was a wee child.
I even had a Grover hat and scarf combo which I wore with pride - it was purple and white stiped, and had a Grover patch on it. I loved it.
But my all time favorite muppet?
Cookie Monster. I loved, loved, loved Cookie Monster. When I was a toddler, I got some sort of blue monster bank, and it scared me until my parents told me it was a Cookie Monster bank (it so wasn't, but at least I could sleep at night).
And, to continue the muppet inspired warm clothing them, I had a cardigan sweater with Cookie Monster's picture and a world bubble that said "C is for Cookie." I wore that sweater for years, even after it was too small.
Cookie was awesome, because he had no manners, loved cookies, and I always thought he would give the best hugs. Plus, his googly-eyes cracked me up.
